Movie Reviews of X-Men Origins: Wolverine
- Wolverine is an excellent movie. The director has shown that from the very first part it was well thought plan make a movie on the creation of wolverine. There were exciting stunts in the whole movie. It will keep you attention for the entire duration of the movie. If a person has already seen the previous part of the movies, its a must watch which make things more exciting.
- Wolverine: Origins
I went to see this movie in theaters. I had such great hopes, seeing as how I had really loved the original X-Men movies. I was so excited. But I was let down. Being the fan of comic books that I am, I expected a little more from the producers when it came to story line. It may have been a good movie for someone who knows nothing about comic books, but if they do they will be very disappointed in the way the characters are portrayed and the history behind the characters.
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine has recently been released on DVD, after performing well at the box office. The film follows the origins of the comic book Character Wolverine from Marvel Comics 'X-Men'.
The Movie is undoubtedly fun is places, non-stop action run against a 'plot-for-revenge' background, with Wolverine hunting down his own brother, Victor Creed. The scenery is impressive, switching from the natural beauty of the forests of Cananda to an eery concentration camp like experimental lab.
Whilst it can be fun, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has undoubtedly annoyed the hardcore X-Men fans, with plotholes and ideas that never quite get explained. For example, Victor Creed is portrayed as Wolverines Brother, but why? This was never even hinted at in the original comic book series. However the biggest dissapointment comes toward the climax of the movie. I won't say anything now because I don't want to spoil anything for you, but if you're a hardcore fan such as myself, you already would've seen or heard about Weapon XI/Deadpool.
Hugh Jackman, is frankly, dissapointing. Whilst during the original X-Men Trilogy we saw a Wolverine who had dry wit, yet still able to scare the audience with his sarcasm, here we see a Wolverine who basically just wants to sulk. Liev Schreiber is fantastic as a camp yet equally ferocious Sabretooth, however it is Ryan Reynolds who steals the show, despite only being in the film for less than 15 minutes.
Having said all this, X-Men Origins, Wolverine is a fun Movie to watch perhaps when all you want to see is some serious action, but not if you want to be challenged.
