- i would like to submit my review of the 2008 featurefilm 'the reader' starring oscar winner kate winslet,and david kross.the film is directed by stephen daldry.the film is based on a german novel which was released in 1955.the film tries to depict a woman's feelings and the hardships she faces in order to hide her from embrassment.in the first half of the film,hannah(kate winslet) working in a tram,comes across a boy who is sick.in order to quench her thirst of reading she keeps her virginity at stake.the sexual scenes is clearly framed so as to avoid any kind of vulgarity.great job my kate winslet. after the first half,the movie takes a serious turn when the woman finds herself in a mess,which forces her to life improsonment.yet with her strong zeal,and effort finally succeeds in her ambition!a must watch film.great job my kate and david kross.
