- Movie title: The Last Airbender
For fans of the cartoon series, 'Avatar', this film is not for you. The director had failed to capture the intensity, story and characters in this first of 3 part movie. Some areas were not developed enough, and others could have been done away with. Action sequences were okay but we really fail to fall in love with the characters in this movie.
- I just saw The Last Airbender, a movie based on the cartoon series on Nickelodeon. The only way this movie would be enjoyable is if you have NEVER seen the original cartoon series. M. Night Shyamalan could not have butchered the movie any worse. Important parts were cut out, the story was re-written in parts, the actors and cgi were the only redeeming quality of the movie. Save your money and go watch something that doesn't suck.

- The Last Airbender is one of the worst adaptations I've ever seen. It looks like the director/producer Shyamalan lost the soul of the popular cartoon series and created a less than ordinary movie. Even Dave Patel of Slumdog Millionare couldn't save the film. The main problem was the misconnection of the characters of the movie and the original cartoon series, both by the looks and the manners. Katara and Sokka are pale skinned Eskimos(!) although they looked more like the northern people in the cartoon. Katara doesn't look wise and Sokka doesn't look funny, Uncle Iroh is totally different and others are not much better, but it's not the actors or actresses, it's the production and the script. Not even talking about the 3D disaster. I would not recommend this movie even to the most hardcore fans of the original series.

The last Air bender is good film but not good enough. Even though the last air bender has cool effects and great fighting scenes the actors in the movies did not portray the characters in the AVATAR the legend of Ang animation by nickelodion. Let us start with the main character Ang, He is supposed to be carefree not like Ang in the movie who is very serious. Another character not portrayed well is Zuka, Zuka is the reason why AVATAR legend of Ang is fun to watch because he is funny. In the movie he is so dull and so serious.
Also in the movie Last Air Bender some of the original scenes were altered like when Ang was captured. He is suppose to battle Zoko in the deck but he just escaped from the movie. In the cartoon Ang nearly drowned and he was saved by his Avatar state.
Over all I give the movie a 3 out of five.
- The Last Airbender directed by M. Night Shaylynn was the worst movie I have ever seen. I am a huge fan of the cartoon, but even I could not sit through that garbage. The movie was racist, had poor camera angles, poor lighting, a bad script, and desperately needed better actors.
- The Last Airbender it's a overrated movie. I would give it 7.0 rating because of the special effects but honestly, it's a disappointment. The director should dedicate more developing to the trama because they are revealing all too fast. Anyway, I would recommend this movie to friends and family.
