  • the karate kid
Nothing like the original until the very end when he pulls a souped up version of the crane move and makes the movie horrible, any 12 year old with a broken leg is not going to stand up, do a crane stance and do a back flip to kick another kid in the face... give me a break!

  • Karate Kid : Another good movie from Jackie Chan. However lately he has started looking his age in movies and this movie was no different. As for the plo of the movie, Dre (Jaden Smith) and his mom (Taraji P. Henson) leave Detroit for brighter job prospects in Beijing, where Dre quickly tussles with the local group of thugs who also happen to be kung fu masters. Dre starts up a showy flirtation with Meiying (Wenwen Han), who's spoken for by head baddie Cheng (Zhenwei Wang), and soon he's hiding from these kids every day after school. In the middle of one particularly mean fight Dre is rescued by his apartment building's reclusive handyman Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who reluctantly agrees to teach Dre kung fu but only after taking the arrogant tween down a peg or two. Lessons are learned, poses are struck, a friendship begins to blossom.
It's truly fascinating to watch snotty and rambunctious Dre transform into a confident warrior, and the charismatic Smith and expert Chan build a believably tender and touching surrogate father-son relationship. Unfortunately all of the other characters fall a little flat, from the villainous rival kung fu instructor who glowers like a Mortal Kombat baddie to the pretty and blank Meiying and even Dre's mom.

Overall any okay movie and die hard fans of Jackie chan would enjoy it.

  • Karate Kid 2010- I think this is a well made movie. Especially for a remake of a classic. Jaden Smith does an excellent job at acting and doing his own stunts. Bruce Lee does as well as any other movie he has done. This is a superb movie and I give it a B+.

it is very nice. it is very useful to children and fearness people.

  • I destroyed all my office copiers! No need for COPY function, as this movie is a perfect and moronic copy of the original Karate Kid. It has all the same lines. Pathetic. No originality at all. I was amazed. The only thing is they showed Mao's best pictures and did not mention Mao sent 80 million people to their tortured death. So on top of being a copy (a TRUE COPY), it is a communist movie. I want my $ 9 back!!

  • Movie Name :Karate Kid
Review : This one of the best movie of the time. This is a story of Dre Parker, a 12 year old boy moves to China with his mother. Then the story begins with how the boy humilated and how he trained in Martial art and rebuilt his confidence.

A lot of adventure, the fight scenes are most thrilling and a lot of excitement.

Along with the performance of Jackie Chain is awesome. It's one of his best movie
    after Shanghai Noon.

Though the movie is little long compare to other movie, this is a must watch.

  • I just can’t get over the fact that they called it Karate Kid, when they’re using Kung Fu in the movie.I should probably see it first just to veryfy that (I definately should) I dunno, maybe people shouldn’t get so picky about these things, but I think that’s quite a biggy. People still would have made the connection with Karate Kid if they’d called it Kung Fu Kid. For me it’s un-forgivable!
