Movie Reviews of The Goonies
- The Goonies is a classic 1980s movie about kids that set their mind to something and get it done. I love this movie, and as a child of the '80s, still find myself quoting it all the time. As you follow the kids from Astoria on their quest to save their town, you and they learn how important it is to stay true to yourself, and see people for who they are, not necessarily what they look like. I cannot wait to show this movie to my kids.

This cult classic is probably one of the films Spielberg would like to erase from his resume, despite its viewers' devotion. The teen classic stars some recognizable faces in a highly unlikely scenario involving elements sure to inspire a cult following: pirates, a treasure hunt, and Corey Feldman. If you're in the mood to see some misfit teens save the day and slide down cleverly disguised "cave" waterslides, then this is the movie for you. And if you were born in the 80s or spend time with anyone who was, you should probably at least sit through it. Otherwise you will never understand the significance of "Hey you guys!!!"
