Movie Reviews of Sunshine Cleaning
- Fairly new on DVD is the movie "Sunshine Cleaning." It was directed by the same person who was involved with "Little Miss Sunshine." It's a totally different story and, I believe, a much better one. Amy Adams is the main character and at the beginning of the movie she's a single mom involved with a married man and cleans houses for a living. Almost as a fluke she gets to start her own cleaning company, one that cleans up the mess after people have died violent deaths. How she learns to be a businesswoman and to make friends with her sister and her neer'do well dad and make sure her son is well cared for makes for a charming and poignant movie. The love interests for her and her sister aren't developed, but you get the sense that they'll both be making better choices in the future.
