Movie Reviews of Serenity
- One of the greatest movies I have ever seen is Serenity.
The simplest way to describe the flick is "Space Western"
Serenity is written and directed by Joss Whedon, based on his TV series Firefly. I was unfamiliar with Joss work up to that point. So the movie sat in my Netflix que for some time.
I was hooked from the beginning. The opening credits set the back story before introducing the main characters, a group of misfits who live aboard a space ship.
The plot revolves around these people and their fight against an evil government operative trying to capture of the ship's passengers.
Serenity didn't make much of a splash at the box office but has earned a cult following to rival that of any other sci fi franchise. Serenity truly is a diamond in the rough and I doubt you'll regret the two hours you spend watching.
