Sean Penn pulls off an awesome role playing the leader of the gay movement in California. The movie was a biopic on how gay men fought for the same civil rights as everyone else. Highly controversial subject matter that seems to plague the news over the nation. I didn't feel that this movie was trying to push a political agenda, so don't shy away from it for that reason. It stayed objective and was very entertaining. Well worth a watch whether or not you support gay rights.
