McConaughey plays Ben, a man who works in the advertising business who is trying to get a diamond campaign. A bet is made that if Ben makes a woman fall in love with him that he will get the pitch. Andie is picked out for the bet in a bar, and she uses Ben as the subject for her article. This movie incorporates hilarious comedic performances, as well as romance and a chick-flick appeal.
