Movie Reviews of Grown Ups
- Recently I saw "Grown Ups", a new movie just released in theaters. I have always been a fan of the stupid, immature kind of humor Adam Sandler tends to have in all of his movies, and this one was no different. It's basically about a bunch of guys who grew up together and spend a weekend together after a funeral in a cabin on a lake. They have all grown up and gone in different directions, but here they come together and fix the problems life has thrown at them.
Its full of immature jokes that adults and children will like, and I laughed out loud for the duration of the movie. Underneath it all, however, is the very important message that family and love is what should come first, not material things. I'd recommend it to anyone, but I think adults with a bad sense of humor would appreciate it the most.
- Grown Ups
Went to see Grown Ups last week in the movie theater. It is a family movie. It does have a good story line. I knew most of the actors. Unfortunatly it was not one of the "gut-busting", laughing out loud movies that Adam Sandler has put out in the past, so I was a bit disappointed. All in all it was ok but i could have just bought the DVD later on this year.
- "Grown Ups" is a hilarious movie! The cast of SNL alums just make this movie. It is extremely funny yet it has moments that parents can relate to in a serious manner. The problem with children today being connected to their electronics plays out in this movie and it was great that these parents got thru this problem. It was a great movie.
- Grownups was a very funny movie. While it was somewhat predictable, it was a light enough subject that it wasn't a total bust to sit through. The best performances came from Kevin James and Adam Sandler. Chris Rock's character was a bit weak but his personality still shone through. The movie included lots of laughs and was appropriate for teens as well as adults. It was definitely a movie worth renting!
