Due Date is getting a lot of press for being "one of the funniest movies of the year". Is it worth the hype? My husband I went to the movie opening night, and were ready to laugh. We were in for a letdown. The movie was funny, but don't waste your $8.00. The funny quips, the parts you'll be repeating, are in the commercials. Robert Downey Jr. is his sarcastic self, and Zack Galifinackis was his usual bumbling, odd self. Galifinackis was funny even when there wasn't much in the script, but nothing compared to The Hangover. Bottom line? Save your 8 bucks, and rent this DVD. Pass the time until it comes out watching the trailer on Youtube, you'll see all the funny parts there anyway.
- Due Date with Robert Downey Jr. and Zack Galifianakis had its very humorous point and a lot of action. The funniest parts had already been shown in the previews for the movie and so it was lacking a bit more humor.
- A good movie that i watched lately is Due Date. It is a great comedy not quite recommended for children, but I guess thats why its rated R. Some of the scenes in that movie were so funny, that should be the movie of the year. It had allot to do with smoking weed and getting messed up. Sometimes I don't really understand the movies like that though its like a bunch of stuff is just being thrown together, but actually understood this movie. Soon as it comes out on in stores I think that i will watch it again. I was very pleased with the way this movie turned out it was different and good.
