- When he is around everything goes awry. He punishes the damned and kills anyone who gets in his way. Such is the theme behind M. Night Shyamalan's new movie Devil. After the disaster, which is The Last Airbender; Shyamalan partially redeems himself in this nightmarish thriller about five people trapped in a elevator with an otherworldly presence. In little more than half an hour Shyamalan leads you to identify with at least half the main characters, builds a compelling and clear storyline, and concludes with an interesting twist. I give this film three and a half stars.
