Movie Reviews of A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010 version)
- I recently saw the latest installment of Nightmare on Elm Street. To be quite frank I was not impressed. I think the concept of the Nightmare series is a good one, or I should say a terrifying one. The idea of a killer who hunts you down in your sleep is a pretty disturbing idea. The problem I had with it is predictability. It seems as though all the horror movies these days follow the same exact pattern. It goes something like this: death, recognition of conflict, death, resolution of conflict (execution of the killer), and then at the very end the killer comes back to life and somehow manages to continue their reign of terror! I cannot stand the sense of dissatisfaction those endings leave me with. It's obvious that they create that ending in order to lead into a sequel. Anyway, I would probably give it a C rating. If you want to get a good scare go see it, if you want to see a solid all around movie: skip it!
- I Saw the nightmare on elm street it was boring and lacked content of the classic movies.
- A Nightmare on Elm Street(2010)
This remake of the 80's classic is a bit of a letdown for the old Freddy fans. No more Robert Englund, so the series kind of lost it's best selling point.
Other than no Robert Englund, though, it was all in all a fairly well made movie. It had its cliche horror moments, as most movies do now-a-days, but it stayed true to the series, and even gave us some background into the mind of Freddy Krueger.
- I finally got to see that remade Nightmare on Elmstreet remake. What a joke. Its awful. How did they think they could actually replace Robert! They try to keep somewhat of the story the same but it just stinks. What a waste of $3.99. I think I got through a little over half before I started nodding off. Whoever wrote that movie should just give up and start a carrer working the fryer at Burger King.
