2010, a promising & entertaining year for watching movies
The year 2010 has arrived with a bang bringing in loads of entertainment for movie goers. It’s been an exciting year to watch movies so far with 'Avatar' continuing to dominate the box office and setting a trend for the upcoming movies in the year 2010. Indeed Hollywood took a leaf from 'Avatar'; and the year 2010 is all set to brace for the kind of movies based on ancient history and mythology blended in science-fiction genre. Swashbuckling swords & sandal genre of movies are going to make it big at the box office. Denzel Washington's 'The Book of Eli' is already rocking the box office with a good grossing.
'The Book of Eli' is all about the search and fight for a lone copy of the Bible that was existing in the American post-apocalyptic days. Following in the footsteps of 'Avatar' and 'The Book of Eli' is another sci-fi based vampire thriller 'Daybreakers'. 'Daybreakers' is the story of a lethal virus that transforms much of the world's population into vampires.
Amidst the flood of sci-fi genre movies here comes a romantic comedy movie 'Leap Year' with a refreshing breath; and Jackie Chan delighting you with his kind of martial arts in 'The Spy Next Door', where he is doubling-up as CIA agent under the guise of babysitter to three school-aged kids.
Besides these movies, 2010 is braced for the exciting movies ahead that will rock your heart ever more with Julia Roberts-starrer 'Valentine’s Day' and Bruce Willis-starrer 'Cop Out' both hitting the screens in the coming month of February; the fantasy-thriller Johnny Depp-starrer 'Alice in Wonderland' electrifying thriller Matt Damon's 'Green Zone' and several others and finally returning to that wonderful magical trip on 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage'.
With these kinds of movies and many more, I am pretty sure, the year 2010 is all set to be more promising and exciting for billions of moviegoers across the world. Watching these movies at wartchmovies.com as and when available legally is indeed an exciting trip into the world of entertainment.
2009 was a great year to watch movies, going by the trend so far 2010 is all set to be the same if not more for watching movies.

2009, the Year that was full of exciting movies
The year 2009 has passed by leaving behind us some of the wonderful movies that became big box office hits. James Cameron-directed 'Avatar', a science fiction epic film leads the race to box office blockbuster draws. The other movies that made it to the box office hits are 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel', 'It's Complicated', 'The Lovely Bones', 'The Blind Side' and 'Up in the Air'. The other Hollywood movies that scintillatingly rocked box office are 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince', 'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs', 'Star Trek', and stunningly attractive Megan Fox's 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'.
The year 2009 also saw the stunning Hollywood actress & star of 'Proposal' Sandra Bullock becoming the highest paid actress in 2009 beating 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Johnny Depp. The year 2009 also left behind lots of surprises leaving us to guess which 2009 movies are going to walk the red carpet on the Oscars’ Day and in what category this year in 2010, from 'The Lovely Bones' to 'It's Complicated', 'The Dark Knight' and many other movies that are contending to walk the honors at Oscars.
All in all Watching Movies in the year 2009 has been a lot of fun. Avatar was one of the best movies I have ever watched. I am sure it will become the highest grossing movie ever in the history of Hollywood.

Biggest Movie of the Year - Avatar
James Cameron has proved once again that he is indeed the 'King of the World' with his epochal sci-fi movie 'Avatar' which stretches beyond cinematic imagination. 'Avatar' the most expensive movie ever has almost earned 6 times of its $300 million budget. The movie 'Avatar' has so far grossed $1.84 billion worldwide; and is still continuing its rule at the box office earning more megabucks.
The Canadian-born great Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron has conceived the film 'Avatar' way back in 1994, long before he made the biggest blockbuster hit 'Titanic' in 1997 which bagged 11 Oscars. After conceiving the idea for 'Avatar', he found out that the technology he needed to make the movie did not exist at that time. After a decade-and-a-half, at last 'Avatar' hit the theaters in all its glory with its 3D visual effects capturing the hearts of the billions of moviegoers.
As for the story, 'Avatar' takes us into 2154 and onto the planet called Pandora that exists in the Alpha Centauri star system. The planet Pandora is rich in mineral called unobtanium, which is vitally important for the earth to survive. Planet Pandora is inhabited by the natives called Na'vi, who are 12 ft taller and stronger with blue-skin and golden eyes and a long, supple tail and yet sensually appealing like humans. The natives of Pandora live in harmony with nature and worshipping their goddess called Eywa. Planet Pandora is no threat to planet earth. Yet some of the corporate bosses from planet earth have evil designs on Pandora for its rich mineral resource called unobtanium.
To conquer Pandora, US armed forces use avatars. They create Na'vi look-alikes who infiltrate planet Pandora. Jake Sully played by Australian actor Sam Worthington is a paraplegic and an ex-marine. He is chosen to become a Navi'ite because he resembles his dead identical twin. James Sully is then transformed into a look-alike Na'vi-ite while his mind is controlled by humans. In his avatar of a Na'vi, James Sully becomes a good soldier on the planet Pandora doing the bidding of his mind-controllers. One fine day, Jake Sully joins the Na'vi ranks after he is saved by a brave Neytri played by Zoe Saldana and fights the battle Na'vi-ites. The rest of the story is made simple. The love develops between the James Sully and Neyri. The movie that runs at a breathtaking pace for 163 minutes, tells the story of humans, the story of Na'vi-ites, who are also developed as individuals., the fights and wars between humans and Na'vi.
'Avatar' is just as racy never slackening in pace thanks to the editing by John Refoua and Stephen E. Rivkin and headed by James Cameron. The cinematography by Mauro Fiore is simply dazzling and visual effects are just as breathtaking as James Cameron breathing life into every scene through his directorial abilities. 'Avatar' is all set to dominate the box office in the year 2010 too bringing laurels and honors to the 'King of the World' James Cameron. Whether you love it or hate it, 'Avatar' is a must-see.
